All of our facilities are full service surgical facilities. At VRSP, our doctors work closely with your veterinarian to provide expert surgical care for your pet.
The Veterinary Referral Surgical Practice is affiliated with Atlanta Animal Rehabilitation and Fitness, a facility dedicated to helping animals recover from sudden injuries or long-term conditions with physical therapy.

What is a Veterinary Surgeon?
At the Veterinary Referral Surgical Practice, all of our surgical staff has been trained specifically for small animal surgery. Our surgeons, after receiving the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, went on to complete specialized coursework and internships as well as a three-year residency program in the field of animal surgery. The residency programs are accredited by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and conducted at a university teaching hospital. Their advanced professional training included:
- Management of surgical diseases
- Training in soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery
- Specialized training in radiology, pain management, and anesthesia protocols
